Usage: The insulated piercing connectors (IPC) are designed and tested to fit to all types of LV. ABC cables as well the connections to service and lighting cable cores, whether the cables are insulated by XLPE, PE or PVC. The bolts are tightened until the heads sheared off. Stripping of insulation of LV. ABC is avoided. Voltage withstand in water is 4 kV.
Ease of Installation: There are no special tools or cable stripping required. The installation simply involves the insertion of the jacketed secondary cable into the connector and tightening of a shear-head bolt. All connectors can be installed with only 2 hex wrenches: (1/2" and 5/8"). The turbo ***cer allows the tap side to remain open while you hand tighten the connector on the main wire.
Connection Quality: Our unique double shear-head bolt ensures connection quality and the correct tightening torque without the use of a torque wrench guaranteeing a perfect connection every time. This feature eliminates the possibility of hot spots, damaged wires or loose connections.
Safty: I. P. C can be installed on an energized conductor; however, the tap must not be under load.
Corrosion Resistant: Connectors are made from high strength corrosion resistant plastic and galvanized steel bolts (stainless steel is available upon request).
